Ergonomics with KOKADI

It is not enough to carry your baby, it is also important to carry your baby correctly. KOKADI Baby Carriers Our baby carriers have been developed in close cooperation with doctors, midwives and babywearing consultants. They are ergonomically designed and grow with your baby. In a KOKADI Baby Carrier your baby sits in the optimal tuck-and-spread position.

HEALTHY HIP DEVELOPMENT

Newborns are born with relatively soft bones that consist primarily of cartilage. The baby hip is also not yet fully developed. When the baby lies on its back or is lifted, it reflexively bends its legs. The head of the femur thereby assumes the anatomically optimal position in the acetabulum, which serves healthy hip development. This is the so-called tuck-and-spread position, the ergonomically correct carrying position in which the knees are bent at belly button level. When tying the baby sling and adjusting the bar of a Baby Carrier the fabric or the bar should therefore reach to the back of the baby's knee to support the thigh up to the knee joint and to achieve a stable position of the hip joint. Correct carrying in the squat-spread position has a preventive and therapeutic effect on malformations of the hip.

The bar of your KOKADI Baby Carrier grows with your child and is continuously adjustable with Velcro. The narrowest setting of the bar is 15cm and therefore perfect for your newborn - from birth! You can adjust the bar up to a maximum of 45cm. Thus, the Anhock-Spreiz posture is always guaranteed when wearing. The hip belt of a KOKADI Baby Carrier is closed by a secure three-point buckle.

ROUND BACK

The spine is rounded at the beginning. The development towards the typical S-shape of the spine as in an adult takes place in the course of the first year of life. With the correct, firm tying of a sling or a Baby Carrier the child's back is well supported vertebra by vertebra in the upright position. Carrying in the vertical position also has the advantage that the infant's head with its still soft bones can be supported by the correct tying technique or head support of the Baby Carrier and thus a flattening of the back of the head due to positioning can be prevented. Proper carrying strengthens the back muscles of the carrier in parallel with the baby's weight gain. With an ergonomic Baby Carrier back is relieved during carrying and back pain is prevented. Thus Baby Carriers also healthy for mom and dad.

In your KOKADI your baby's back forms the ergonomically correct round back. Due to the diagonal-moving jacquard weave, our fabrics are particularly cuddly. They fit your baby's body perfectly, so your baby is ergonomically correct bumped. That makes our KOKADI Baby Carriers and Baby Wraps so unique!

RIGHT WEAR

The baby's gaze should be turned towards the person carrying him. If, on the other hand, the baby's gaze is directed forward, its little legs are not supported and the hip joints get into an extended position, whereby the head of the femur can deform the edges of the socket (hip dysplasia) or even leave it (hip luxation). The round back is then also not supported, but pushed into a hollow back. In addition, the baby cannot check "threatening" situations by making quick eye contact with you. Even if it gets tired, it can find it difficult to escape the many stimuli. The child should be carried at "head kissing height". In doing so, it snuggles up to the person carrying it. It must not sink in or tip to the side. For greater comfort, you can alternate between carrying the child on your chest, back or even on your hip.

You can wear in your KOKADI Baby Carrier Flip carry your baby in front of your stomach or on your back. With our other baby carrier models TaiTai and WrapStar the possibility is also given to carry your baby on the hip in addition to the two carrying variants.

PHYSIOLOGICALLY CORRECT

The close skin contact in the Baby Carrier promotes the happiness hormone oxytocin, which can also boost the mother's milk production. In addition, the higher oxytocin content increases your own well-being, which also strengthens the bond with your child. In addition, the sensory development of your child is more strongly promoted: Your baby is everywhere in everyday life and gets many different impressions. From sounds, smells but also the speech melody of the environment. Studies also show that we recover more quickly when we have a lot of physical contact. Here, too, you help your baby by carrying him or her, which, for example, also helps regulate your child's body temperature when he or she has a fever. The fact that your baby's weight is increased by the Baby Carrier evenly distributed, you not only protect your shoulders, but also prevent back pain.

Our Baby Carriers have a headrest that stabilizes and supports your baby's head. You can also use this when you want to protect your baby from wind or sun or provide sleep protection. The headrest can be attached to the shoulder straps by snaps.
